Greenwich Rugby Club opened its doors and celebrated St Georges Day in style.

 

The club was decked out in flags - music was playing - traditional Pie & Mash (liquor optional) was available and we opened our doors from 11:30.

 

As ususal, many of our regular customers joined us early and got the party started.

Even a pre-planned political husting did not dampen the spirits halfway through the evening as we were later joined by the Greenwich Morrris Dancers who put on traditional Morris Dancing routines
and soon had our members and bar staff taking part.

​

A great day was had by all and a big shout out for our social committee and bar manager who worked really hard to get the day organised and were determined to host the event on St Georges Day and not at the weekend.

Mark your diaries for next year as it will get bigger and better.
